Reicher 2018 Cheer Camp

July 9th-12th

9 am – Noon
Reicher Gym

Grades: PreK-6th

Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleaders from Reicher Catholic High School will teach your child the skills they need to become a cheerleader while having a great time!

They will learn:

  • How to properly jump
  • How to improve their jumps
  • Basic Cheers and Chants
  • Basics of stunting

The girls will perform at the first home football game on September 8th!

All ages will be split up and taught according to their age and skill level.

Come join us for four days of fun!

Baseball Update

April 16th- The baseball team lost twice to McKinney Christian last week, 19-0 and 8-1. In the first game, Chris Hovde broke up the no-hitter with a single in the 4th inning. In the second game, Hovde pitched another gem, going 5.2 innings and striking out 10, while walking only one. He also drove in Max Aucoin with the Cougars’ only run. Ryan Perez added two hits for Reicher. Our season ends Friday at 6:00pm with the Senior Night game vs. Dallas Shelton. We will be recognizing Chris Hovde, Ryan Perez, and Letrell Toussaint. April 10th- The Reicher baseball team dropped a couple of non-district games last week, falling 11-0 to the Austin Royals Home School team and 8-2 to Bryan Brazos Christian.  Freshmen Cade Dawkins and Jake Boozer had both of the hits against the Royals, while junior Aidan McCourt slapped a single against the Eagles. Junior Payton Hill pitched four strong innings against Brazos Christian, striking out seven.  Reicher is now 1-11 on the season. The Cougars resume district play Tuesday and Friday this week against McKinney Christian Academy.  Tuesday’s game is in McKinney at 4:30, while the Friday home game begins at 6:00 pm.

 

March 28th- The Reicher Cougars were able to navigate through the threat of rain Tuesday night.  But they could not avoid the gloom. Locked in a 2-2 tie through seven innings, district foe Flower Mound Coram Deo scored 15 runs in the 8th inning to walk away with a stunning victory.  For Reicher, Chris Hove pitched a masterful 6 2/3 innings, surrendering only four hits and allowing no earned runs, while striking out nine.  Hovde now has 42 Ks in only 21 innings this season. Aidan McCourt, Payton Hill, and Cade Dawkins had the only Reicher hits. The Cougars complete their series with Coram Deo Thursday at 6:00pm at McInnish Park in Carrollton.  The address for that site is 2335 Sandy Lake Rd, Carrollton, TX 75006

March 26th- The Reicher baseball team let an early five-run lead slip away as they lost to the Vanguard Vikings 11-7  last Friday night at River Bend Park. John Jack Boozer took the loss for the Cougars, who fell to 1-1 in district play and 1-7 on the season. Aidan McCourt led Reicher’s offense with four hits, while Boozer went 2-4 and Payton Hill added a triple and a double. The Cougars host Flower Mound Coram Deo on Tuesday March 27 and Texas School for the Deaf on Wednesday March 28.  They travel to Coram Deo on Thursday, March 29.  All games are scheduled to begin at6:00pm.

March 22nd- Reicher’s Baseball team opened district play with a 16-6 victory over Vangaurd. We played a great team game and had a great rally in the 5th inning to put the game away. Our baseball team plays Vangaurd again Friday night at 6:00pm at the Riverbend baseball fields. Come out and support our boys!

Softball Update

April 20th- The Lady Cougars get the win against Brentwood  Christian, with the score of 16-0. Your Lady Cougars had good at bats and had no errors in the field.  The Lady Cougars next game is on the road against West Friday at 7.

April 10th- Your Lady Cougars got the win against Vanguard last night, with the score of 16 to 1. The Lady Cougars had no errors on defense. Hannah Boettcher had 5 strikeouts in 3 innings. The Lady Cougars will be traveling today to play Faith Academy in Marble Falls at 4:00pm.

April 5th- The Lady Cougars secured a victory over Concordia on Tuesday night’s Senior Night.  The Lady Cougars collected 10 hits for the day. Lady Cougars are now 5-0 in district.

March 28th- The Lady Cougars were victorious over Austin Brentwood last night 11-0. McKayla Young pitched the Lady Cougars to victory. She surrendered 0 runs on 0 hits with 0 walks through 5 innings of work. We totaled 11 hits in the game. Ana Watson and McKayla Young each had multiple hits in the game. Our ladies stole 7 bases in the game. Reicher did not commit any errors in the field. Bri Happenney had the most catches with 12. The Lady Cougars will host Round Rock Concordia on April 3rd at 6:00 pm

March 23rd- The Reicher Lady Cougars move to 2-0 in districtplay with a 12-1 victory over Faith Academy. The Lady Cougars will host Austin Brentwood on Tuesday March 27th at 6:00 pm. Come cheer on our ladies to victory.

March 19th- The Lady Cougars began district play this past Friday night with a 32-0 victory over cross town rival Vangaurd. We continue district play tonight against Concordia High School at 4:15 pm. The game is located at Concordia High School, 1500 Royston Ln, Round Rock, TX 78664, USA. Let’s go Lady Cougars!

      

March 13th- Before Spring Break, the Lady Cougars Softball Team competed in the Gatesville tournament. The results were as follows.

Reicher 12 Moody 10
Reicher 9 Temple 13

The Lady Cougars take on Vangaurd this Friday March 16th at home at 6:00 PM. Come out and support your Lady Cougars as they begin district play.

Track Update

April 9th- The Reicher track team had their final meet to prepare for district. The Cougars ran very well. The boys finished 3rd overall. Our boys 4×100 and 4×200 took home the silver medal and our girls 4×100 finished with the bronze. All 3 ran their fastest time of the year. Damion Wilson won silver in the 100m and Bradley Bass won silver in the Triple Jump. Sheridan Robinson won bronze in both the 200m and 400m. We will run again at the district meet on April 17th at Grapevine Faith High School.

March 23rd- Reicher ran at Eagle Relays at Bruceville Eddy High School on Thursday night. Your Cougars ran very well taking home many medals. The boys 4×100 and 4×200 both took home gold. Bradley Bass was the highest point getter at the meet earning 4 gold medals and a silver. Ben Brittain won gold in the 200 and Sheridan Robinson won gold in the 400. Chandler McVan took home bronze in the 400, Bryce Dorton in the 200 and Sheridan Robinson in the 200. Your Cougars will be back on the track on April 5th at Meridian High School

March 19th- Reicher ran at Bearcat Relays in Moody, TX this past Friday. The boys and girls both ran very well. The girls 4×100 won gold and the boys took home the silver in the 4×100 and 4×200. The following won gold in an individual event, Ana Watson in the 100m, Sheridan Robinson in the 400m and Ben Brittain in the 200m. Ana Watson won silver in the 200m and Bradley Bass won silver in the triple jump. Bradley Won bronze in the long jump and Sheridan too home bronze in the 200m. The Cougars are running this Thursday March 22nd at Eagle Relays in Bruceville.

March 13th- Reicher ran at the Max Hibbits Cadet Relays before Spring Break. Bradley Bass took home the gold in the triple jump and silver in long jump. Sheridan Robinson won bronze in the 400m and Ben Brittain took home bronze in the 200m. The Cougars run this Thursday at Moody High School. The field events begin at 3:45 and the running begins at 5:00. Come out and support Cougars!

Football Camp (Grades 4-8)
June 11th through June 15th, 8:00 am to 10:30 am Cost: $100
The Football camp is for incoming 4th grade through 8th grade. This is a non-pad camp. Campers will learn proper skills and techniques for all positions such as Quarterback, Receiver, Running back, and Lineman. Campers will also learn to play 7 on 7. This camp is a great opportunity to learn from Reicher coaches and football players. 

 

*Basketball Skills Camp for boys & girls (Grades 4-8)
June 11th through June 15th, 11:30 am to 2:30 pm
Cost: $100
The basketball skills camp is a great place for any young basketball player (boy or girl) who is looking to improve their skills, work hard, make new friends and have fun! Campers will develop all of their offensive skills such as Shooting, Passing, Dribbling, Post Moves, and Perimeter moves. Teaching fundamental skills is the foundation of our camp. We achieve this through demonstrations, drills, and individual and team competition.  

***Campers who attend both football and basketball camp will have a supervised lunch break in St. Joseph’s Hall***

 

Boys and Girls Competition Basketball Camp (Grades 9-12)
June 5th through June 7th, 11:30 to 2:30PM Cost: $100
During this camp, your student-athlete will be working on footwork, shooting form, and dribbling. They will also be improving on floor spacing, passing accuracy, and rebounding. We will give your student-athlete the proper tools to succeed at the current and next level.

 

Boys Competition Basketball Camp  (Grades 9-12)
June 26th  through June 28th  , 11:30 am to 2:30 noon Cost: $100

Your student-athlete will be working on footwork, rebounding and shooting form. They will also be improving on setting screens, cutting, and ability to attack the rim. Your student-athlete will be given the proper tools to be successful at the current and next level.

 

4th Quarter Club (boys and girls) (Grades 7-12)
June 18th through July 20st, 8:00 am to 10:00 am (Monday through Friday) Cost: $200
The 4th Quarter Club is a 5‐week training course designed by the Reicher Coaching Staff for Jr. High and High School athletes of all‐sports. 4th Quarter is designed to allow athletes to gain speed, agility, quickness & power through the following types of exercise: Weight Training, Speed Exercises, Core Training Exercises, PlyoMetric Exercises, and Agility Exercises.

 

Reicher Cheer Camp (Grades PreK-6th)
July 9th through July 12th, 9:00 am-12:00pm, (Monday to Thursday) Cost: $100

They will learn to properly jump, improve jumps, basic cheers and chants, and basic stunting. The girls will perform at the first home football game on September 8th! Forms due by July 1st.  There is a max of 75 girls.

July 10th-12th, 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm Cost: $100 (Coached by Ricky Rhodes MCC)

Volleyball Camp (girls) (Grades 6-12)
July 16th through July 20st, 8:30 am to 11:30 am (9th – 12th Grade) and 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm (6th – 8th Grade) Cost: $100
Middle school camp will emphasize skill development such as passing, setting, hitting and serving, as well as learning basic defenses. High school camp will focus on skill development as well as offense/defensive positioning and coverage as well as team strategies.

Academic Camps

 

Robotics Adventure Camp (Grades 3rd – 8th)
June 19th through June 22th, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Cost: $50
Robotics Adventure Camp will focus on using the engineering design process to solve problems. Campers will design and build a robot, 3D print parts, compete against other teams, program video games, and build vehicles. The camp is hosted by the Reicher Robotics team and requires no previous experience.

 

How to Write a College Essay
June 19th through June 22th, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Cost: $50
This session will teach the student how to write an essay that will “wow” the university admissions. Your student will leave the camp with one, complete essay based from the ApplyTexas prompts.

July 10th through July 11th, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Cost: $40
Learn how to navigate these two college application resources with ease. From setting up the accounts, to exploring what benefits they include…you will leave this session ready to apply to college!

 

Scholarship Scavenger Hunt
July 13th, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Cost: $25
Leave this session knowing all the best places to look for scholarships. Also, learn which scholarships are more “doable” and likely to be awarded to you.
