Softball Update

May 17th-  Reicher Catholic Cougars take the win over Ft.  Worth Temple Christian with the score of 23-1.

Reicher Catholic Cougars  Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning.  Bri Hapenney drove in one when she singled.

Reicher Catholic Cougars  Varsity scored eight runs in the fourth inning.  Reicher Catholic Cougars  Varsity’s offense in the inning came from  2 home runs from Boettcher and doubles by Ana Watson and McKayla Young, a triple by Molly Bolfing, and a single by Emmie Hack.

Young got the win for Reicher Catholic Cougars  Varsity. She went five innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out eight.

Reicher Catholic Cougars  Varsity tallied 26 hits on the day.  Watson, Hapenney, Boettcher, Young, Hack, Bolfing, Ellie Ward, and Katie Hutyra all managed multiple hits for Reicher Catholic Cougars  Varsity.  Boettcher, Hapenney, and Watson each collected four hits to lead Reicher Catholic Cougars  Varsity.  Reicher Catholic Cougars  Varsity stole ten bases during the game as four players stole more than one. Young led the way with two.

Reicher Plays for the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP today at 5:30 at Crosby High School in a rematch of last year’s state game against John Paul II

May 15th- The Lady Cougars have come out on fire to begin the playoffs. Reicher began the playoffs with an impressive 14-1 victory over Flower Mound Coram Deo. They followed that victory with another 14-1 victory over Lubbock Christian. Your Lady Cougars return to the State Tournament this Wednesday against Fort Worth Temple Christian at 6:00pm at Crosby High School. Come support our girls as they look to defend their state title.

May 7th- The Lady Cougars begin their run in the playoffs Tuesday, May 8th at home at 6:00 pm. Reicher will take on Flower Mound Coram Deo. Come Out and support your district champion softball team.

April 20th- The Lady Cougars get the win against Brentwood  Christian, with the score of 16-0. Your Lady Cougars had good at bats and had no errors in the field.  The Lady Cougars next game is on the road against West Friday at 7.

April 10th- Your Lady Cougars got the win against Vanguard last night, with the score of 16 to 1. The Lady Cougars had no errors on defense. Hannah Boettcher had 5 strikeouts in 3 innings. The Lady Cougars will be traveling today to play Faith Academy in Marble Falls at 4:00pm.

April 5th- The Lady Cougars secured a victory over Concordia on Tuesday night’s Senior Night.  The Lady Cougars collected 10 hits for the day. Lady Cougars are now 5-0 in district.

March 28th- The Lady Cougars were victorious over Austin Brentwood last night 11-0. McKayla Young pitched the Lady Cougars to victory. She surrendered 0 runs on 0 hits with 0 walks through 5 innings of work. We totaled 11 hits in the game. Ana Watson and McKayla Young each had multiple hits in the game. Our ladies stole 7 bases in the game. Reicher did not commit any errors in the field. Bri Happenney had the most catches with 12. The Lady Cougars will host Round Rock Concordia on April 3rd at 6:00 pm

March 23rd- The Reicher Lady Cougars move to 2-0 in districtplay with a 12-1 victory over Faith Academy. The Lady Cougars will host Austin Brentwood on Tuesday March 27th at 6:00 pm. Come cheer on our ladies to victory.

March 19th- The Lady Cougars began district play this past Friday night with a 32-0 victory over cross town rival Vangaurd. We continue district play tonight against Concordia High School at 4:15 pm. The game is located at Concordia High School, 1500 Royston Ln, Round Rock, TX 78664, USA. Let’s go Lady Cougars!

      

March 13th- Before Spring Break, the Lady Cougars Softball Team competed in the Gatesville tournament. The results were as follows.

Football Camp (Grades 4-8)
June 11th through June 15th, 8:00 am to 10:30 am Cost: $100
The Football camp is for incoming 4th grade through 8th grade. This is a non-pad camp. Campers will learn proper skills and techniques for all positions such as Quarterback, Receiver, Running back, and Lineman. Campers will also learn to play 7 on 7. This camp is a great opportunity to learn from Reicher coaches and football players.

*Basketball Skills Camp for boys & girls (Grades 4-8)
June 11th through June 15th, 11:30 am to 2:30 pm
Cost: $100
The basketball skills camp is a great place for any young basketball player (boy or girl) who is looking to improve their skills, work hard, make new friends and have fun! Campers will develop all of their offensive skills such as Shooting, Passing, Dribbling, Post Moves, and Perimeter moves. Teaching fundamental skills is the foundation of our camp. We achieve this through demonstrations, drills, and individual and team competition.

***Campers who attend both football and basketball camp will have a supervised lunch break in St. Joseph’s Hall***

Boys and Girls Competition Basketball Camp (Grades 9-12)
June 25th through June 27th  , 11:30 am to 2:30 noon Cost: $100

Your student-athlete will be working on footwork, rebounding and shooting form. They will also be improving on setting screens, cutting, and ability to attack the rim. Your student-athlete will be given the proper tools to be successful at the current and next level.

4th Quarter Club (boys and girls) (Grades 7-12)
June 18th through July 20st, 8:00 am to 10:00 am (Monday through Friday) Cost: $200
The 4th Quarter Club is a 5‐week training course designed by the Reicher Coaching Staff for Jr. High and High School athletes of all‐sports. 4th Quarter is designed to allow athletes to gain speed, agility, quickness & power through the following types of exercise: Weight Training, Speed Exercises, Core Training Exercises, PlyoMetric Exercises, and Agility Exercises.

Reicher Cheer Camp (Grades PreK-6th)
July 9th through July 12th, 9:00 am-12:00pm, (Monday to Thursday) Cost: $100
Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleaders from Reicher will teach your child the skills they need to become a cheerleader while having a great time! They will learn to properly jump, improve jumps, basic cheers and chants, and basic stunting. The girls will perform at the first home football game on September 8th! Forms due by July 1st.  There is a max of 75 girls.

Volleyball Camp (girls) (Grades 6-12)
July 16th through July 19th, 8:30 am to 11:30 am (9th – 12th Grade) and 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm (6th – 8th Grade) Cost: $100
Middle school camp will emphasize skill development such as passing, setting, hitting and serving, as well as learning basic defenses. High school camp will focus on skill development as well as offense/defensive positioning and coverage as well as team strategies.

Robotics Adventure Camp (Grades 3rd – 8th)
June 18th through June 22th, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm Cost: $125

OR

July 16th through June 20th, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm Cost: $125
Robotics Adventure Camp will focus on using the engineering design process to solve problems. Campers will design and build a robot, 3D print parts, compete against other teams, program video games, and build vehicles. The camp is hosted by the Reicher Robotics team and requires no previous experience.

 

How to Write a College Essay
June 19th through June 22th, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Cost: $50
This session will teach the student how to write an essay that will “wow” the university admissions. Your student will leave the camp with one, complete essay based from the ApplyTexas prompts.

Learn how to navigate these two college application resources with ease. From setting up the accounts, to exploring what benefits they include…you will leave this session ready to apply to college!

 

Scholarship Scavenger Hunt
July 13th, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Cost: $25
Leave this session knowing all the best places to look for scholarships. Also, learn which scholarships are more “doable” and likely to be awarded to you.

College Basketball Signings

Reicher is proud to announce that Letrell Toussaint and Damion Wilson have signed to play college basketball. Letrell has committed to the University of Dallas. Damion is committed to play at William Carey University in Mississippi. Both Damion and Letrell helped lead your Reicher Basketball Team to a great year and playoff run. We are proud of you both and wish you luck as you continue your basketball careers.
