Dear Reicher Families and Friends,

Greatness is symbolized in the State Championship Trophies and plaques in sports and academic achievements of Reicher. It is what you don't see that really makes the difference. It is the work that goes on behind the scenes from everyone involved in Reicher, including students, parents, grandparents, friends, coaches, teachers, administration, and alumni. Their hard work, dedication and giving throughout the history of the school is what has made this a special place. As President of the Booster Club, I have come to learn and appreciate the thousands of hours the people of this community have contributed. They are the pedestal that the state trophies rest and depend on.

When you walk through the doors everyone knows the expectations are high. Time and time again those expectations have been met. This year is no different.

Countless volunteers give of their time and money. These people are our Booster Club! Through their support they set the example for our children. They are the tradition of excellence in which future generations of Reicher students can look up to and depend on.

Since becoming President of the Booster Club, I have been asked many times, "What is the Booster Club? What do they do?" I usually respond: "If you have ever volunteered your to time to help the school, whether it is helping with a national honors society luncheon, a fundraiser, painting the field, newcomer mentoring or just having a student who attends Reicher, then you are part of the Booster Club." It takes all of us to make our school the best it can be and to uphold the tradition of excellence.

What does the Booster Club do? Through the exhausting work of the parents and volunteers we raise money through various activities to support the current students of Reicher. Last year alone over $150,000 was raised. The budget this year over $144.000. As in previous years, the budget of Reicher's Booster Club reflects and is inclusive of the student activities through academics, band, teacher requests, dance, cheerleading, scholarship awards, etc. It is not just about sports, it is about a well rounded student experience. This tradition continues this year with the generous outpouring of help where and when needed. It has been amazing! There is a lot of pride in being part of such a wonderful family we call Reicher.
